What does activation mean? The product activation is a process for which you enter an Activation Code in the eLicenser Control Center to download a license for your product to use it permanently. The following video provides an overview: What is an Activation Code? The Activation Code is the key to your product. An Activation Code is 32 digits long and usually starts with „0240”. The license is saved on your computer (more precisely: on the Soft-eLicenser), or on the USB-eLicenser.
An Activation Code can only be entered once to download the corresponding license. Losing an Activation Code that has not been entered yet would mean the same as losing the product itself. How can I get an Activation Code?. If you purchased a boxed product the Activation Code is located on a flyer inside the box.

What am I doing wrong? As soon as you enter an Activation Code for an update/upgrade in the eLicenser Control Center, it is displayed which license can be updated/upgraded with this Activation Code. Please check which license is shown in the eLicenser Control Center and is currently located on your Soft- or USB-eLicenser. Eventually, you have received a newer license already due to the grace period.
This would require you to purchase a different update/upgrade instead (for instance: there is a difference between Cubase 6 and Cubase 6.5). Rating Did this article help you?
